LABA Fanjove Island

Fanjove Island, Tanzania

Laba Fanjove Island is a private and romantic escape nestled in Southern Tanzania, offering just 18 exclusive beach villas. This private island, the smallest and arguably the most beautiful of the six islands in the Songo Songo Archipelago, provides a tranquil sanctuary where white sandy beaches meet the crystal-clear turquoise waters of the Indian Ocean.

Each of the villas is discreetly placed among the palm trees, ensuring maximum privacy and breathtaking ocean views. Built using natural materials by local craftsmen, these villas blend seamlessly with their surroundings, featuring Tanzanian plantation teak floors, traditional Makuti roofs, and coral stone walls.

The atmosphere at Laba Fanjove is one of relaxed luxury, with thoughtful touches such as organic cotton linens, bathrobes, and beach essentials like baskets, hats, and fouta towels enhancing your stay. The villas offer both interior and exterior showers, with a family villa available for those travelling with children. The island's iconic lighthouse, built in the 19th century, overlooks the villas and serves as a unique dining venue where guests can enjoy meals prepared by Michelin-trained Chef Edmund, who emphasizes healthy and locally sourced cuisine.
