Nestled on the edge of Botswana’s Okavango Delta, Sandibe Okavango Safari Lodge offers a unique escape into a wildlife-rich paradise. The lodge is situated within a private concession, providing exclusive access to 22,500 hectares (55,600 acres) of pristine wilderness bordering the Moremi Game Reserve.
The lodge's organic design seamlessly blends with the surrounding forest, resembling a giant pangolin at rest. Guests are welcomed into a central dining area with high ceilings and expansive views of the Delta, while wooden decks extend into the forest, leading to a log boma and wellness facilities.
Each of the twelve guest suites is elevated above the papyrus-lined banks, offering privacy, stunning views, a private plunge pool, and a cozy fireplace. Sandibe Okavango Safari Lodge promises an immersive experience in the heart of the Delta, surrounded by the breathtaking beauty of nature.

Our lodge is committed to sustainable luxury, integrating eco-friendly practices to preserve the environment, protect wildlife, and support local communities while maintaining the highest standards of service and guest experience. With significant investments in energy, water, and waste management, alongside wildlife conservation and community initiatives, sustainability is at the heart of our mission. Plastic Reduction: Eliminated 155,856 plastic water bottles annually through on-site lodge bottling plants.
Concrete Removal: Removed 2,670 tons of concrete from the Okavango Delta to restore natural habitats.
Solar Energy: Implemented hybrid solar power systems supplying up to 80% of energy needs at Botswana lodges.
Innovative Solar Plant: Launched Botswana's first solar power plant at Sandibe in 2014, the second in Africa.
Wildlife Corridor Protection: Supported the WildCRU Trans-Kalahari Predator Programme to protect wildlife corridors.
Rhino Conservation: Translocated 93 rhinos to Botswana through the Rhinos Without Borders initiative, establishing a thriving population.
Local Employment and Training: Employed 94% local citizens with over 100 training interventions conducted annually.
Community Support: Raised BWP 393,073 for water access, food relief, and masks for school children during COVID-19.

After an exhilarating evening game drive, indulge in a pan-African al fresco dinner under the stars around a blazing fire in the lodge’s traditional boma. The central interactive kitchen adds a lively touch, allowing guests to participate in crafting their own gourmet pizzas and burgers. During the cooler winter months, cozy up in front of a crackling fireplace or enjoy a meal in your suite, transformed into a warm cocoon.
