The stone interiors of the guest areas open up to breathtaking panoramas, with open fireplaces to keep the chill away. Featuring a beautifully furnished bar and sitting area, stone floors and deep leather armchairs invite you to while away the hours.
Boasting one of the finest views in Africa, spend afternoons on your personal verandah overlooking smoky views of distant hills. Wooded hillsides, rolling grasslands and forested river banks, all teem with rich wildlife in this natural haven. Browse in the beautiful Safari Shop that displaying locally-made Maasai crafts. Fresh vegetables picked from the camp’s organic vegetable garden, are used to create wholesome dishes. Meals are served in the main dining area, or under the stars on the concession.

Our camp is committed to sustainable luxury, integrating eco-friendly practices to preserve the environment, protect wildlife, and support local communities while maintaining the highest standards of service and guest experience. With significant investments in energy, water, and waste management, alongside wildlife conservation and community initiatives, sustainability is at the heart of our mission. Here are some key initiatives:
Plastic Reduction: Eliminated 228,000 plastic water bottles annually through on-site bottling at &Beyond Tanzania lodges.
Environmental Investment: Invested 783 million TZS in environmental protection initiatives from 2017 to 2020.
Renewable Energy: Generated 85% of &Beyond Ngorongoro Crater Lodge's energy requirements from renewable sources.
Carbon Footprint Reduction: Achieved a 728,000 kg annual reduction in CO2 emissions since 2018 in Tanzania.
Water Recycling: Recycled 2 million liters of water annually from the laundry at &Beyond Ngorongoro Crater Lodge.
Tree Planting: Grown 60,000 saplings in the on-site nursery, planting them in local communities.
Conservation Education: Provided conservation lessons to an average of 2,100 learners per year, promoting community empowerment through education.
Local Community Support: Invested 1.5 billion TZS in community-led projects in health care, education, and enterprise development between 2018 and 2020.

The Dining
The camp features a spacious, beautifully furnished bar and lounge with an open fireplace, offering stunning views over Klein’s Valley. It’s a perfect spot to relax with a board game, book, or cocktail. Fresh vegetables, picked daily from the camp’s shamba, are used to craft wholesome meals. Being on a private concession allows flexible dining venues, whether in the dining room, bar, veranda, or out in the wild. Enjoy open-air meals, just like the explorers of old, surrounded by Tanzania’s breathtaking landscapes and wildlife.
